Dr Michael Clarke

Michael Clarke has a number of interests, he enjoys tennis and is a keen fisherman – raft-fishing the Horomanga River is on his bucket list
Dr Holger Konrad

Holger has been with Beachlands Medical practice since 2017. He is very dedicated to all aspects of general practice. Holger lives locally with his young family.
Dr Nikola Retford
MB ChB 2004 Auckland; FRNZCGP 2016
Nikki joined Beachlands Medical in 2016, she works part time at Beachlands and lives locally with her family. Nikki’s interests are in Wellness Support and General Practice.
Dr Nigel Brown
MBChB (Otago), FRNZCGP
Dr Nigel Brown grew up in Christchurch, then studied at the University of Otago; after GP training was a practice owner in Timaru for 21 years. He has been working for the Beachlands Medical Centre since 2013 and has an interest in all aspects of family medicine with a recent focus on management of skin lesions. He enjoys the teamwork and continuity of care available in the general practice setting. His out of work interests include time with family, running, cycling and tramping.
Dr Rebecca Starr
MB ChB (Leicester UK)
Dr Rebecca Starr qualified in the UK, continuing GP training in New Zealand after moving here in the early 1990’s. She has lived and worked in Beachlands for the last 17 years and enjoys being part of the local community.
She covers all aspects of General Practice including the wide range of women’s health issues and is an accredited Mirena practitioner.
Her spare time is spent enjoying her own family in this beautiful part of the world, squeezing in a bit of windsurfing and running the local choir (which has wonderful health benefits too).
Dr Nagham Hawa
MB ChB 2000 Baghdad; FRNZCGP 2019
Dr Nagham Hawa has broad experience in all areas of general practice and has a special interest in women’s health, having worked as a fully trained board certified obstetrician and gynaecologist specialist in Jordan.
Dr Andrew Reid
MBChB, FRNZCGP
Andrew enjoys the full spectrum of general practice patient care, including minor surgical procedures. He has a particular interest in palliative care, and also works part time for Totara Hospice on their weekend roster. He lives locally in Maraetai with his young family.

Beachlands Medical Centre’s nursing team includes 8 very experienced and caring registered nurses and a health care assistant.
We provide a comprehensive nursing service to our clients including:
Immunisations
Wound care
Aclasta and Ferinject IV infusions
IV antibiotics
Chronic care management, eg. diabetic support and education.
Flu and Covid vaccine clinics
Our nurses are specialised cervical smear takers and provide this service Monday to Friday.
We provide a daily telephone triage service, a recall service, and a prescription service throughout the week to actively promote health and education to our population.
The nursing team takes pride in keeping up to date with their education and training to provide a high standard of care to our community.

Joy is an experienced and registered healthcare practitioner, having worked for many years in West Auckland, and now living in Beachlands, her passion is to help people reduce stress and be empowered to move towards a healthier life connected with their gifts and values. She can also help with physical and social issues.
